The collection consists of the materials collected by Donna Schoeffler Aldas Utter and inherited by her from her grandmother, Sarah Haskins George, more commonly known as "Nettie." The papers regard the families who migrated to the Nez Percé Indian Reservation, more commonly known then as the Lapwaui Reservation, to settle Woodland, Idaho in the mid-1890s.
